A recent email for a coffee rub request got me thinking about our most Christmas gift from Danny's grandparents. We love our Sisters Coffee Company Coffee Rub. If you have a chance to visit the area or get your hands on this rub, I highly recommend it. But if you can't here is a great recipe Danny and I like to use!
Recipe
1/2 c fine ground coffee
1/4 c light brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp salt
2 tsp ancho chile powder
1 tsp ground mustard powder
Notes: Ground coriander or ground cumin are great additions to this rub. Also, using dried herbs like 1/4 tsp ground dried rosemary compliments the coffee nicely. Use on pork shoulder for pulled pork or on chops or ribs!
